Cala-or visited the Post-harvest Facilities, Biocon Laboratory and the Farmer Information Training Service (FITS) Center of LGU Leon.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Ta\u0148o, SB Member and Chair Committee on Agriculture and Cooperative, who inspired the students by giving emphasis that agriculture is not just an art and science but as an agribusiness towards food sufficiency and sustainability.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The ocular inspection of the hot water treatment facility for mango, the food processing facility for dried mangoes, banana chips, malunggay and turmeric, the biological control laboratory (Trichogramma and Earwigs), and the FITS Center were visited by the students.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The goal of this activity is for the students to be aware \u00a0that post-harvest management is a system of handling, storing and transporting agricultural commodities after harvest and to be cognizant of the modern post-harvest facilities that could be an avenue for hands on and researches in the future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
