\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Iloilo Science and Technology University Leon Campus successfully held a recognition program with the theme \u201c2023 GRADUATES: Upholding Excellence in Science and Technology Education\u201d at Leon Municipal Gymnasium at 8: 30 o\u2019clock in the morning last July 03, 2023.<\/p>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Mrs. Mary Antonette A. Baylosis warmly welcomed the students, parents, university president, guest speaker, school partners, faculty, staff, and other guests.<\/p>
\u00a0 \u00a0 ISAT University president Dr. Raul F. Muyong congratulated all the awardees and the proud parents. He encouraged them to find jobs and make their parents and alma mater proud of them. He added that awardees should serve as good models to other students and to the community. Their awards served as an inspiration to strive more. He challenged them to pass or even top the Licensure Examination for Agriculturists (LEA).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Mr. John Amorsolo was the recognized guest speaker. He was a university alumnus and currently, he is the Senior Science Research Specialist, at the Research Division Department of Agriculture -Western Visayas. He inspired the awardees by sharing his journey and struggles while studying at Leon National College of Agriculture (LNCA), currently the ISAT University, Leon Campus. He shared six major lessons in life. First, enjoy life, time has no rewinds. Second, integrity, attitude, and character matters. Third, practice continuous learning. Fourth, accept that the world is unfair but don\u2019t let it break one\u2019s dreams and aspirations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Fifth, an individual\u2019s fight is not only for himself but a fight for the whole family. And the last one was, never give up and treasure your pain and struggles. He stated that poverty didn\u2019t hinder him to achieve his dreams in life. He assured the awardees that GOD has a better plan for all of the people. One just needs to be a better version of himself.<\/p> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A day worth celebrating, the awardees received their medals and certificates in recognition of their hard work, dedication, passion, and excellence in different areas of their academic and non-academic lives. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Mr. Lawrence Dave C. Camposagrado, Cumlaude, and the most outstanding campus graduate motivated his fellow awardees to maximize and value every opportunity that comes to their lives. He congratulated his fellow awardees and shared the bible verse, \u201cWhen the time is right, I, THE LORD, will make it happen\u201d, Isaiah 60:22.<\/p> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Dr. Julito C. Aligaen, Campus Administrator, made the closing remarks and thanked everyone who made the event successful.
