One Billion Rising (OBR) made its debut in the Philippines in 2013, and since then, it has been an annual event observed every February 14th. This global initiative is a crucial part of an annual campaign aimed at increasing awareness and advocating for an end to violence against women and children.<\/p>\n
The initiative sparks awareness among students, faculty, and staff, urging them to take action in safeguarding women’s rights and denouncing any form of violence directed towards them. As the campaign gains momentum, it is hoped that the collective power of \u2018One Billion Rising\u2019 will be a force strong enough to break the cycle of abuse and build a future of equality and respect for all.<\/p>\n
