ISAT U Leon Campus Non-Teaching Staff Join 5th National Summit on Government Procurement

The event, organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) in collaboration with the Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (GACPA), gathered professionals from across the country to discuss key updates and best practices in public procurement.

Representing ISAT U Leon Campus were Ms. Melanie Caluyo, Accountant II; Ms. Jennigie Alcala, Administrative Officer V; Mr. Jovian Salvador, Administrative Officer IV; Mr. Boyce Abentino, Administrative Officer III; Mr. John Paul Calves; Ms. Ma. Dhara Cainglet, Administrative Officer I; and Mr. Kent Soria, Administrative Officer II.

During the two-day summit, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions on recent updates to procurement laws and regulations, including compliance with the Government Procurement Reform Act (RA 9184), audit observations and common procurement issues, risk management strategies, the digitalization of procurement processes, and transparency mechanisms to strengthen public trust.

The active participation of the ISAT U Leon Campus delegation underscores the university’s commitment to strengthening institutional systems and ensuring strict adherence to government procurement standards. By equipping its non-teaching personnel with updated knowledge and best practices, the campus continues to promote fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and excellence in public service.
