ISAT U Welcomes International Visitors Through an ASEAN Food and Agro-Industrial Fair

Iloilo Science and Technology University Leon Campus cordially showcased its hospitable and amiable demeanor to warmly welcome the international visitors from Cheng Shiu University, Taiwan, and Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA), Indonesia, as the campus hosted the ASEAN Food and Agro-Industrial Fair guided with the theme, “Celebrating ASEAN’s Bounty, Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow,” on August 14, 2026, at the Covered Gym.

The program featured several intermission numbers from the tradeans as they entertained and displayed their Filipino-coded singing prowess and their mesmerizing and evocative cultural dance performance to the guests, together with a video presentation of the splendor and breathtaking scenery and places to look forward to when visiting the town of Leon, the intricate weaving of kaing, and the scrumptious look of linagpang na manok.

The event also exhibited local agricultural products and food delicacies, highlighting the culture, traditions, and identity of the Philippines. Overall, the event promoted and reflected the beautiful camaraderie shared as siblings of the ASEAN countries, and embodied a significant avenue for sharing and learning more about each others origin and heritage.
