ISAT U Leon holds its Flag Raising Ceremony with the University President, Dr. Salistre

The University President, Dr. Gabriel M. Salistre Jr., joined the flag-raising ceremony in ISAT U Leon Campus on February 2, 2026. He visited the campus to fulfil his promise to be personally present in the flag-raising ceremony every semester, at all external campuses of the university. The presence of the University President highlighted his unwavering commitment and hands-on leadership extending beyond the main campus.

He emphasized the role of ISAT U Leon as a vital “organ” to the functions of the whole ISAT U system, underscoring that the success and challenges of the Leon Campus are shared by the whole institution. Additionally, he presented three key challenges to the students:

The first challenge was the pursuit of dignified agriculture and forestry, encouraging everyone to adapt to modernization by making good use of artificial intelligence to maximize local resources for research and thesis work for the benefit of the community. Additionally, ensuring the students are equipped and ready before facing the real world.

The second challenge is the strengthening of institutional prestige, underscoring the priority for international recognition and maintaining high-quality education not only in the main campus, but also in the external campuses.

Lastly, the president’s third challenge is to fully incorporate and embody the core values ICARE (I-integrity, C-commitment, A-accountability, R-responsiveness, E-excellence) of the institution, in the daily academic lives and endeavors of the students.

The event was not only a testament to the commitment of leadership but also a motivation for the pursuit of modernization and development of the university towards excellence.
