Student- Administration Dialogue for Second Semester A.Y. 2025-2026

To foster empathy and promote a collaborative learning environment for everyone, the Student Republic (SR), in collaboration with the Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), conducted a Student-Administration Dialogue on February 10, 2026, at the Iloilo Science and Technology University Leon Campus covered court for the second semester.

The event was opened by Ms. Ma. Jessa C. Palicte, OSAS Head, who highlighted the significance of the activity in addressing issues and concerns within the university, emphasizing that these concerns can be resolved effectively in a healthy and respectful dialogue. The board of panelists was the OIC campus administrator, head of instruction, program coordinators, and members of the faculty and staff with designations. Students were present during the event despite the inclement weather, demonstrating strong support for inclusivity, unity, and collective actions to address the problems and challenges faced by the academic body.

Dirty comfort rooms, poor classroom ventilation, unjustified schoolwork, inadequate working tools, and free means of transportation going to the university’s demo farm in Brgy. Lanag, Leon, and vice versa were among the many issues discussed during the dialogue. The event served as a venue for exchanging better ideas. Small voices were heard that led to mutual understanding, and solutions were nurtured. The dialogue reaffirmed the value and importance of open discussion for the holistic improvement of Iloilo Science and Technology University, Leon Campus.
