
Career Readiness Activity
ISAT U Leon campus held a career readiness activity on May 17, 2024, for this academic year’s graduating students, with representatives from various government agencies in attendance.
Ms. Sheriel Etom Loloy from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) discussed the step-by-step procedures for the PRC Licensure Examination Application and Requirements. She also shared essential information to consider before and after taking the Licensure Examination for Teachers and Agriculturists.
Ms. Maria Lucy U. Muralla, the Regional Labor and Employment Officer of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), delivered an engaging talk on the emerging job trends in the Philippines and the various career opportunities in the field of Agriculture. Additionally, she provided job-hunting strategies and job interview do’s and don’ts.
Representatives from Pag-IBIG and SSS explained the different services their respective agencies offer. They also facilitated the Pag-IBIG and SSS Membership Application for the students, preparing them for their future careers, as such memberships are required upon employment, especially in the private sector.
It was indeed a productive day for ISAT U Leon’s graduating students. Navigating the transition from college to the workplace can be challenging. It is essential that students are not only equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities related to their degree programs but are also abreast of relevant employment information.
