RSD 3rd Quarterly Meeting at ISAT U, Barotac Nuevo Campus
The 3rd RSD quarterly meeting was hosted by ISAT U, Barotac Nuevo Campus last September 25, 2023. The activity was headed by the Director of Research Services Division in the person of Dr. Richard C. De Leon and its office staff. Research Center Chairs, Cluster Chairs, and Campus Research Coordinators were also present.
Dr. De Leon presented the update on the new policy for the incentives given to researchers and extensionists with published papers, national and international presentations, and patents. He also asked campus coordinators about the issues and problems concerning research activity on the campuses. He highlighted and advised that if campuses need additional funds for research activity, they will just write a letter addressed to the president.
The highlight of the activity was the presentation of accomplishment reports for the 3rd quarter and the scheduled activities for the 4th quarter of the fiscal year 2023. Dr. Linan Center Chair of CTRD emphasized the status of their research roadmap, discussed the collaboration of her team with the Leon Campus on Smart Agriculture, and relayed the upcoming research implementation for 2024. Dr. Heinz Gumaquil highlighted their research collaboration with the DILG and their upcoming activities in his center. Dr. Gwen Anuevo presented the training and workshops to be conducted in her center and the two research papers to undergo the management review.
Dr. Neldi Alderete, ISAT U, Barotac Nuevo Campus, Research Head delivered her closing remarks, saying that everyone must cooperate with the goal of the University of becoming a research-leading science Technology University by 2030.
