Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U)-Leon Campus Industry Linkage and Development Office (ILDO) in partnership with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Municipality of Leon conducted a comprehensive Career Guidance Seminar Workshop on Job Readiness: Preparing for Career Success. Held at ISAT U Covered Gym, this workshop was participated by the graduating students, peer facilitators, PESO personnel and ISAT U Faculty and Staff, April 25, 2025.

The day-long program started with the opening preliminaries, the singing of Philippine National Anthem, Leon Hymn and ISAT U Hymn all on record. Dr. Gilbert Stanly D. Baylosis, Campus Administrator gave his opening remarks emphasizing the importance of an application letter and resume. Mr. Charlito C. Cari, PESO Manager shared his insightful message.

This seminar workshop aimed to help the graduating students prepare the necessary documents for essential employment such as resumes and application letters and gained skills/abilities in answering questions during job interviews. This also helped the students to be aware about the various government programs available and offered by the PESO.

Key speakers who shared valuable insights were Ms. Joy T. Penetrante, Administrative Assistant III IPG-PESO, who took part in contributing her knowledge about the Career Development Support Programs accessible to graduating students, and Ms. CJ Marie C. Cadenas, PESO Staff, who imparted her expertise in writing resumes and application letter and on how to ace a job interview. The workshop had the open forum for the students to have their queries regarding the topics discussed.

The program concluded by the giving the certificates to the speakers and closing remarks from Mrs. Nerfe T. Florendo, ISAT U Guidance Counselor. This workshop was aligned with ISAT U’s commitment in providing a high quality education and in preparing the students to become globally competitive professionals.
