Training on VLE Managers and Course Creators
As Covid 19 pandemic hit the island, the country’s educational system abruptly changed. To continue the learning process while battling with the crisis, Iloilo Science and Technology University came up with the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) as an alternative mode of learning to the supposed face to face classes.
The Office of the Head of Instruction, with technical support from the OSAS and MIS, spearheaded the “Training on VLE Managers and Course Creators” at ITTC Building ISAT U Leon Campus on March 4, 2021. The training was attended by the faculty members of the campus together with the selected Student Republic Officers.
The activity aimed to broaden the knowledge of the faculty about the new learning environment to ensure effective learning process and virtual interaction between students and teachers.
The training included the following activities: Overview of the Training/Presentation of the Technical Staff, Training Proper: Course Management and Uploading Instructional Materials, Assessment and Tracking of Student Performance and Sharing of the Instructional Materials, Wrap Up and Open forum led by Dr. Ramil G. Lumauag, ISAT U VLE Director together with the VLE Staff took place.
The activity ended with the giving of certificates and closing remarks by Mr. Quirino C. Aligaen Jr., Head of Student Affairs and Services.
