ISAT U Leon Campus Conducts Student-Administration Dialogue

Last February 7, 2024, a dialogue between students and the administration, facilitated by the Student Republic (SR), took place at the covered gym of ISAT-U, Leon Campus. Joyce C. Herida, the SR president, served as a moderator. Various issues were raised by students, encompassing matters such as the school uniform, monthly payment for drinking water, incomplete (INC) grades, repair of some classrooms, use of Moodle, faculty rating, and dental schedules.

Dr. Rafael C. Cabarles, the Officer-in-Charge Campus Administrator, acknowledged the limitations of the university budget in addressing all necessary student services. However, he pledged to gradually enhance these services in a systematic manner.

In addition, Dr. Gilbert Stanly D. Baylosis, the coordinator of the BS Agriculture program, discussed about the BSA program and its retention policy. All students who satisfactorily completed the first two (2) years shall be awarded by Certificate of Agricultural Science (CAS) which they can use for immediate employment or apply for a TESDA Skills Certificate. Those who choose to continue into their third and fourth years can specialize in Animal and Crop Science. He emphasized the importance of strictly enforcing the retention policy to maintain a high passing rate in Licensure Examination for Agriculturists (LEA).

The administration acknowledges the significance of students as stakeholders; therefore, addressing their issues and concerns fosters a healthy environment and contributes to the improvement of the university.
