We are Back! The Peer Facilitator program of ISAT U Leon Campus is picking up where we left off.

The COVID-19 pandemic had halted the peer support program. For two years the University has not trained new members due to the limitations and prohibitions that we have to strictly follow. Most of the trained peer members have already graduated and will graduate this school year.

To continue the program, the Guidance Office in coordination with the Gender and Development Office recruited and trained new Peer Facilitators.

The 2-day training was held at Villa Asuncion Country Inn and Resort, Leon Iloilo. Twenty-four new Peer Facilitators participated in the training. The highlights of the activity were developing self-awareness, acquiring knowledge, and developing skills necessary in addressing common peer problems.

As the University gradually transitions to full face-to-face classes, the peer support program can help create a positive school culture and connectedness between students as well as faculty and staff.
