Dr. Eric James P. Talagon attends the 36th Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. Annual National Conference and General Assembly 2023

    Dr. Talagon together with the Quality Assurance Officers of ISAT University headed by Dr. Renelda P. Nacianceno (Director, University Quality Assurance Center) attended the conference held at Century Park Hotel, 599 P. Ocampo St., Malate Metro Manila with the Theme: “Strengthening a Culture of Quality Assurance in Higher Education Through Partnerships in Accreditation”. The said conference was also attended by 116 State Universities and Colleges assurance officers in the entire Philippines.

    The highlights of the convention were the speeches from various keynote speakers about the quality assurance best practices in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs); general assembly meeting (election of new AACCUP Board of Trustees for 2023-2025), awarding of SUCS with Institutional Accreditation for 2022, SUCs with the most number of programs accredited (by university and by college) and loyalty award (AACCUP Employees). The main purpose of the conference as emphasized by Dr. Milabel E. Ho, Executive Director, AACCUP, Inc. was that all programs of SUCs should be internalized, institutionalized and internationalized; and accreditation is the assurance to the public that an institution meets accepted standards of quality and integrity.
