ISAT U Leon Campus Joins the First-ever ISAT U Grand Hackathon

Iloilo Science and Technology University Leon Campus made waves in the tech innovation scene third-year students joined the first-ever grand startup hackathon in Western Visayas – CodeLympics 2024 last February 21-23, 2024. Held within the halls of ISAT U, the three-day event provided a front-row seat to the intense and action-packed world of aspiring student innovators.

From brainstorming innovative ideas to hustling for practical solutions, the CodeLympics 2024 hackathon brought together the brightest minds from ISAT U to collaborate and create technological solutions that addressed real-world problems. What set this event apart was its alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the importance of technology in addressing global challenges.

The participating students immersed themselves in a dynamic environment, fueled by creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for making a positive impact. Three third-year students of Leon Campus made it as CEO of their team. This event served as a platform for these budding innovators to showcase their skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

The participants represented the university’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of tech pioneers. With an opportunity to be part of CodeLympics 2024, these students were not just participants but contributors to the evolution of technological solutions with a focus on sustainability and societal well-being. 

As the hackathon unfolded, participants engaged in a series of challenges and workshops like creating Business Model Canvas and Pitch Deck designed to push their boundaries and refine their skills. They were encouraged to think outside the box, explore unconventional approaches, and work tirelessly to develop tech solutions that had the potential to change the world.

CodeLympics 2024 was not just a competition; it was a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the power of technology to drive positive change. Attendees and observers alike had the opportunity to witness the birth of the next generation of Tradean tech pioneers – individuals who were not only equipped with technical expertise but also possessed a deep understanding of the societal challenges that technology could address.
