Training on Production of Bio-organic Inputs

ISAT U Leon Campus is geared towards
research and development and in providing extension services for many clients
especially to the farmers in the municipality of Leon.

ISAT U Leon Campus (Extension Office)
conducted a Training on Production of Bio-organic Inputs last December 9-11,
2020. This three (3) day training was held at ISAT U Leon Campus Covered Court,
strictly implementing the health and safety protocols.

The training aimed to equip farmers
with access to farming inputs by utilizing available resources in their
communities to maximize their production while conserving the environment.

The training included module lecture
and hands on demonstration after each discussion. The modules discussed were
the following: Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ), Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ) and
Fish Amino Acid by Mr. Christian Taba (Faculty, ISAT U Leon Campus), Indigenous
Microorganisms (IMO) by Mr. Lester Legaspi (Faculty, ISAT U Leon Campus),
Vermitea by Dr. Julito Aligaen (Campus Administrator, ISAT U Leon Campus),
Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN) by Ms. Julia Teresita C. Canillas (Agricultural
Technologist, MAO Leon), and Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum (LABS) by Mr. Ryan M.
Caldito (Agricultural Technologist, MAO Leon).

The three day program was hosted by
Ms. Keith Guantero and Engr. Reynaldo Juance culminated with the giving of
certificates to the participants and closing remarks by Dr. Rafael Cabarles,
Production Chair of ISAT U Leon Campus.
