One unit Dehydrator Machine (Multi-powered Food Dryer) is to be installed at ISAT U Leon Campus

ISAT U Leon Campus is one of the recipients of the dehydrator machine under a special in-house project titled, “ESSENTIALS: Establishment of Support System for Education, Nurturing Research, Technology Development and Industry Competitiveness through Adept Laboratory Services “has been approved and to be implemented from February 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024.

Mr. Hilario S. Taberna, Jr., Project Proponent/Leader of ISAT University conducted an orientation together with Dr. Julito C. Aligaen, Campus Administrator, selected staff and agriculture faculty researchers held at Audio Visual Room, April 05, 2023 to discuss the implementation of the said project and to explore research opportunities.

The said state of the art machine dehydrator was developed by Dr. Rene Mucas of ISAT U La Paz Campus and is expected to be installed sometime in July 2023. Likewise, the site for the installation was also considered. The said machine dehydrator will be used by students and faculty researchers in conducting relevant researches in postharvest most particularly on the science of drying local agricultural products in order to address food sufficiency, sustainability and responsible consumption and production.
