ISAT U FLP spearheads Agri-Lympics 2023
Future Leaders of the Philippines officers and members celebrated Agri-Lympics 2023 for three days, May 3-5. This event was in coordination with the Student Republic and the Cultural Affairs. The activities of the celebration were anchored to this year’s theme: “Next Gen Leaders of the Philippines: Harnessing the Innovativeness and Creativity of Young Leaders for Digital Agriculture and Technological Advancement.”
On the first plenary session, Dr. Julito C. Aligaen, Campus Administrator welcomed the participants and the guest of honor. Mr. Quirino C. Aligaen, Jr., Head, OSAS and Mr. Lester F. Legaspi, FLP Adviser delivered their inspirational messages. Ryan Caldito, Municipal Agriculturist was the keynote speaker. In his speech, he enumerated the different finished and ongoing projects of the municipality under the Department of Agriculture. He made mention many opportunities that the municipality is extending to the community including students of ISAT U.
Series of contests followed after the opening program like dish gardening, poster and slogan making, compounding feed ration, fruit carving, project proposal writing, identification of fruit trees and several other contests.
In the morning of the second day was the continuation of the skill contests and the afternoon event was highlighted by the Search for Mr. & Ms. Agri-Lympics 2023 participated in by the different levels and the combined BTVTED and BTLED. The event was sponsored by the Cultural Affairs under the baton of Mrs. Sarah Jane C. Camarino, Coordinator, Cultural Affairs. Crowned as Mr. Agri-Lympics 2023 was Mr. Jose Larry Cantomayor, Jr. and Ms. Agri-Lympics was Ms. Hazel Mae Redillas. Winners received Certificates of Recognition and Cash Incentives. Invited as board of judges were Hon. Jethro M. Caigoy, Mr. Bayani S. Cabrias and Mr. Daryl C. Amar.

The third day of the event focused on the remaining skill contests and it was highlighted with the demonstrations of Parliamentary Procedures. Parliamentarian of the day was Mr. Rolando C. Caldito, retired faculty member of this university and the following were the judges: Mrs. Mary Antonette Baylosis, Mr. Quirino Aligaen, Jr. and Ms. Julie Ann Casido. Champions Parliamentarians of ISAT U were the demonstrators from BTVTED/BTLED.
