ISAT U Leon Campus Conducts Seminar-Workshop on Personality Development and Emotional First Aid

The Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) Leon Campus conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Personality Development and Emotional First Aid: We Are All for a Healthy Learning Environment on December 4, 2024, at Villa Asuncion Country Inn and Resort, Leon, Iloilo. The event was spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Office of the university.

The seminar featured distinguished resource speakers from the University of the Philippines Visayas, who shared invaluable insights on personal growth and emotional well-being. Prof. Lynn Alobba highlighted the importance of effective communication in building healthy relationships and its crucial role in personality development. She emphasized that personal growth begins from within and reassured participants that an individual’s worth remains constant, regardless of the challenges they face.

Ms. Juvy T. Janeo focused on emotional lifesaving strategies, offering practical advice on managing common emotional injuries. She stressed the pivotal role of the mind in shaping our actions and perspectives, encouraging participants to recognize their ability to control how they perceive and respond to various situations.

The faculty and staff actively participated in the activities led by the speakers, engaging in hands-on exercises that promoted self-reflection and emotional awareness. They eagerly joined in group discussions, sharing personal insights and experiences that enriched the learning experience. This active participation enhanced their understanding of the concepts and fostered a collaborative spirit, contributing to a supportive learning environment at ISAT U Leon Campus.

The seminar-workshop had a strong impact on the attendees, increasing their understanding of the importance of emotional health and personal growth in creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Through this initiative, ISAT U Leon Campus showed its commitment to promoting overall well-being among its faculty, staff, and students, ensuring a nurturing atmosphere that helps everyone succeed both academically and personally.
