ISAT U Leon Campus Secures 1st Runner-Up in the Agri Quiz Bee

ISAT U Leon Campus achieved an impressive 1st runner-up finish in the Agri Quiz Bee held on October 3, 2024, at Casa Real, Iloilo. Representing the campus were Jessa Siosan and Mary Joy Parcon, both Bachelor of Science in Agriculture students majoring in Crop Science.

The quiz bee was part of the 3rd Farmers and Fisherfolks Week celebration at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol and featured 13 participants from various agricultural universities in the province. Competing institutions included ISUFST – Dingle and San Enrique Campuses, WVSU – Calinog and Lambunao Campuses, NISU – Batad and Barotac Viejo Campuses, and ISAT U Leon Campus.

Participants were challenged with questions from diverse agricultural fields, such as Crop Science, Crop Protection, Agricultural Economics, and Agricultural Extension. Among the competitors, Jessa Siosan stood out, earning the 1st runner-up position and surpassing 11 other contestants.

The 3rd Farmers and Fisherfolks Week, celebrated from October 1 to 4, 2024, carried the theme “Nagakaigo kag Moderno nga Teknolohiya, Kadalag-an sang Panguma kag Pangisda sa aton Probinsya.” This event highlights the importance of modern and appropriate technology in advancing agriculture and fisheries in the province.
